Hi, I’m Kevin from skis.com and today we’re cover one of the more common questions that skiers ask: When should I replace my skis? There are two reasons to look at when asking this question: Technology and how often you ski. Technology aspect comes into play because ski equipment these days is advancing very quickly. Every year the manufacturers are coming with newer and better stuff when they combine the shape technology with the new rocker technology. If you haven’t replaced your skis in the last 5-7 years definitely check out a new set as it is going to up your game and make that skiing experience that much more enjoyable for you. The second reason is how often you ski. Skis are designed to last between about 60-80 days of on-hill use. If you’re a more aggressive, you’re going to be at the lower end of that and if you’re a more recreational skier, you’re going to be at the higher end. Hope this helps you out in informing you when the right time to upgrade your equipment. For more information, check out the buying guide below. Thanks for joining us on skis.com.
