Hi, I’m Thom, I just got done skiiing the Head Kore 99. This is a really solid all-mountain ski, definitely aimed at your advanced to expert level skier. It’s definitely a ski that you have to drive to get the most out of. But it’s really not going to work you super hard all day long. 99 under foot is the perfect versatile width for someone who’s going to be doing 50/50 on trail, off trail. It gets up onto edge, and carves and rallies really well on the firm snow, but with the width and the shovel shape, the thing still pivots and smears really good in the crud, bumps, powder. On everything you are going to tackle off trail. Definitely aimed at that strong skier though. The Karuba wood graphene koryoid construction keeps it light, but that doesn’t mean it’s not demanding. It’s definitely a ski that wants to be driven hard, and ridden by a powerful skier.
