Today there is going to be the final runs of 222m and a unified relay. Of course the final runs are very special. For me it is a dream coming true when the athletes enter the ice. It is an enrichment in regards to the athletic aspect and especially to the human aspect. Because the people see that it makes sense, they see that those athletes are happy in participating at the Special Olympics. It does not matter where I go, it is always a great experience. I am so proud. We have 2700 Austrian volunteers helping that the Special Olympics can be so successful. This is a sign spreading out to the whole world. I think that solidarity and respect are the most important factors in our society. Those two we have to support. Here we can see a demonstration of what respect means. I have watched those athletes going round the corners and I was almost scared. I imagened to be on the ice myself and I asked myself how long I could do this. If you are watching the athletes you cannot see any difference. This is a beautiful sign for our society. We are all the same.
