This is Scott Anfang here with Steamboat Snowboard School and AASI National Snowboard Team What we’re going to work on now is learning how to do a flat spin on a
box. So, the way we’re gonna do this flat
spin We’re going to take in the A-T-M-L again. Approach, Takeoff, Maneuver, and Landing. And in the approach we need to have the skill of riding switch. So, make sure your switch riding up to
par before you attempt this. In the takeoff as we go up the ramp we are going to go from switch to regular and then in the maneuver we’re just
gonna stay nice and flat and let the board spin across the feature and then in the landing just put our feet back down and flex it and ride away. So, I am coming in switch, adjusting my speed getting myself set up and I am spinning around regular, sliding around coming away. So, what you guys probably noticed there is the first spin we did on a much shorter, smaller box just to hone in the skills. As we got more comfortable we progressed up to a bigger box. Great way to improve your skills and be safe about it. See you in the parks at Steamboat.
