Hey House Boardshop, this is Dan Sullivan
A.K.A Sully. I’m the director of international sales for Rome Snowboards. We’re sitting here
in the Denver Convention Center, in Colorado, at SIA show. And I’m just going to do a little
background the history of the brand and my involvement with the brand. So, I came home
with the brand when we launched November of 2001 along with Josh Reed and Paul Merivitz.
My forte was on a sales background, so I was brought in the join Paul who had a background
in product and Josh who had a background in Marketing. So, the three of us launched the
brand November of 2001. Here we are ten years later with numerous products. When we launched
we had three snowboards and a line of gloves. One of the snowboards was an agent anthem
and a solution and now ten years later we’re have a selection of about 118 different models.
We got bindings, we have boots behind me here, we have gloves, we have outerwear. Pretty
much have all products for snowboarders. So, just a couple quick things about Rome. I think
one important element for you guys to know about Rome is that we are known as the Rome
SDS, which is the acronym for the snowboard design syndicate. So we invite involvement
in the brand, the whole idea behind the syndicate is if you have an opinion about snowboarding
or you have an opinion about our brand in snowboarding we invite you to come in and
either email us or contact us through our website and let us know what is up, what you
like, what you don’t like. We’re a very involved brand, we want participation so we can put
the best product into the marketplace as possible.
