Hello internet today we’re going to talk
about the 2013 XR Sled Trailer. You have seen these trailers before and
each year Royal Cargo keeps making improvements in the XR sled line. This year the big improvement that they
made is on the ramps we’ll go inside and check it out. What you see is the standard XR interior: all-white aluminum walls and ceiling, you see a cabinet upfront and you see
uh… track glides on the floor, and the floor, of course, is the black, hard-deck flooring. Mezzanine decking. Very robust stuff. But this is what i wanted to point out: this opening. Most sled trailers, most car haulers all have a
spring assist ramp. This one does not, and that is a great innovation by Royal Cargo. Why is this such a great innovation? There’s no cables for when you’re bringing
your sled up for it to run into. The rear door onpening is wider and
higher as a result than competitors. And this ramp is a lot more… Well it’s lighter, and it’s easier to open and close than it has been in the past. This is a great improvement on these sled trailers.
Such a small but subtle, significant thing. The XR Sleds obviously come with a lot of
different options. Ah… we bring them in with a window and with fuel doors. This is the highboy deck-over
configuration you can get in a mid-deck and get it in a lowboy. Why would you want a mid-deck or why
would you want a lowboy? Well you wanna lowboy if you’re going to use this as a toy-hauler to put cars in. Then you’d put six thousand pound axles underneath it. A mid-deck you can do a variey of things: You can get extra hight, make it eighty-four inches high inside, put side by sides inside it, put quads in. You can use it year-round. We also have them with heaters, we also have them with a whole bunch of extra features like fold down bunks. You name it we can build it. But this! This wonderful unit, the way it looks,
is the way our standard units come.
